Ponent bungalows for 6 persons
Our PONENT bungalows have a maximum capacity of 6 persons. They have three bed rooms, two bath rooms, open kitchen and air conditioning and have three different locations. The PONENT bungalows are located in a bungalow park in the N area next to toilet block WC5. The PONENT CENTRO bungalows are located next to the pool in the B area. The I-PONENT bungalows are located in I-block close to toilet block WC3.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all the facilities open and all services offered in the low season ?
Not all of them. The most important facilities such as the supermarket, the pool bar, the restaurant, the swimming pool, the entertainment and the toilets, open and close when the campsite does, but some “secondary” facilities and services such as Club XD and some beach bars open later.
Can I bring a trailer ?
Yes, and without any surcharge. If it doesn’t fit in your pitch, we have a specific area where to park it.
Can I use Barbecues or is there any specific area ?
The use of carbon and gas barbecues is allowed. Open fires are not allowed in the ground. Using the barbecue, you must have water by hand and the embers of the fire must be completely extinguished before disposing them in the garbage containers. The campsite does not have a picnic area or barbecue area.
When can I check in and when do I have to check out ?
Check-in time is from 14:00hrs on camping pitches and 17:00hrs in the Bungalows. It is allowed access to the camping from 08:00h and enjoy the campsite facilities. Check-out on Camping pitches is at 12:00hrs and at 10:00hrs in Bungalows.
When does the season start ?
We open from the middle of May until the middle of September. Dates change every year but we open on the Saturday before Pentecost, and close Friday after The Catalan national day –which is the 11th of September-.
When Can I book for the next season ?
From autumn on. All requests are processed manually to provide the best customer service. The fact that specific pitches are confirmed greatly complicates this process and it takes up to 10 days to send the pre-reservation request at the beginning of the reservation period. Campers staying at the campsite can already submit their request through the official form at the reception during their holidays, although this will not be processed until the beginning of the reservation period. As a general rule, start date is October 1st.
Is there WIFI on the Campsite and in the Bungalows ?
Yes. With a unique project in the sector, we have started to equip the electric posts of the pitches with fiber optic LAN Network. The Wi-Fi router can be borrowed from the reception. All our bungalows are also equipped with Wi-Fi Router. So you can enjoy a quick Internet connection during the holidays. The use of WIFI is included in the price of the bungalows; On the Pitches it has to be booked in advance or upon arrival. We also provide WIFI service covered by antennas on the rest of the campsite.
Is there a Pool on the Campsite ?
Yes. In 2015 we inaugurated Las Dunas Aquapark, the best pool on the Costa Brava! It has 5000m2 with two swimming pools, slides and a large solarium with sun loungers.
If I travel by plane, How Do I reach the campsite ?
The closest airport to Camping Las Dunas is Girona / Costa Brava. We organize Airport Shuttle service from the Campsite. The price in 2017 was € 85.00 per trip, but for clients who book a bungalow for a minimum of one week in the low season, this service is free. We do not offer Shuttle service to the Barcelona airport. There is also a direct bus transfer to l’Escala, more information at: www.moventis.es
Other options are a taxi or a rental car.
Are there any Pitches or bungalows with directly access to the seaside ?
Although Camping las Dunas is directly located to it, the dunes block the sea views from the campsite. At the same time they protect the campsite from wind and sand.
Do I have to pay to get Hot water ?
Hot water is provided in every shower and WC without a cost.
Can I receive visitors while at Las Dunas ?
Yes, every person who wants to enter to the campsite has to register at the reception, also those that are visiting. If the visit is 2 hours maximum, you will not be charged anything, but during this time you have to deposit a camping card or similar Identification card at the reception. If the visitor wants to spend more time you have to pay the current rate. Access to the campsite without registering is strictly prohibited and the surveillance staff controls the entrances.
Does the Pool access has to be paid for ?
No. Access to the pool is free for camping guests. Access is also restricted to camping guests. Access is not allowed to visitors that are not hosted at the campsite.
Is there any touristic TAX ?
Yes. Since 2012 in Catalonia, a tourist tax must be paid. Fee is € 0.50 per person / per night, with a maximum of 7 nights. That makes a maximum amount from € 3.50 per person and stay. It is only charged to clients over the age of 17 years. Children do not pay tourist tax.
What must I do if coming with two cars ?
The price of the pitch or the bungalow includes only one vehicle. An additional vehicle must be paid according to the current rate. A motorhome plus an additional vehicle is allowed on the same pitch without extra charge, although technically it is an additional vehicle.
Is the car included in the price ?
Yes. A vehicle is always included in the price of the overnight stay either for a pitch or in a bungalow. The vehicle must be parked on the same plot, the assigned parking or one of the parking spaces at the entrance of the campsite.
Do we accept credit cards ?
No. At Camping las Dunas we do not accept payments with any type of credit card, either credit and debit. We accept payments in cash, with traveller’s cheques and payments by bank transfer.
Do we accept “cheque vacances” ?
No, only cash, traveler’s cheque or bank transfer is accepted. We do not accept payments with bank cards either debit and credit.

When do I have to pay the total amount for my stay ?
The outstanding balance of the Pitch stay can be paid in cash at the reception of the campsite up to 48 hours before leaving the campsite. Bungalow stays must be paid in full by bank transfer at least 2 weeks before arrival. This payment of the remainder of the outstanding balance is not affected in any way by the conditions of cancellation.
Can I park my car next to the bungalow ?
No. The location of the bungalows is in an exclusive area, free of traffic that prevents the access to the bungalow by car. Therefore each bungalow has an assigned parking, outside this area but within walking distance.
What is the capacity of the bungalows ?
The PONENT bungalows (CENTRO) have three bedrooms and are for 6 people (included in the price). The TWIN bungalows have 2 bedrooms and are for 4 people (included in the price). In no case is it allowed to occupy a single bungalow with more than 6 people
If I book a Bungalow together with a friend/relative, can we stay nearby ?
We do not confirm the number of the assigned bungalow and therefore we cannot guarantee that two bungalows adjoin. This does not mean that, having received the request, it is not taken into account when assigning the bungalows. We always try to comply with the requests of our clients, but we cannot guarantee or confirm it.
Is there a TV and Dishwasher the bungalows ?
There is no TV, and no antenna to connect. However, each bungalow has WIFI so you can watch TV on a laptop if you bring it from home. There are no dishwashers.
Are bed linen and towels included in the bungalows ?
It is included in the PONENT BUNGALOWS (CENTRO) and is changed weekly. It is not included in the TWIN BUNGALOWS, but you can rent it at the laundry, or ask for the complete set with the reservation. The price in 2017: € 24.00 per bungalow for the entire stay.
Is there Air-conditioning in the Bungalows ?
Yes, each bungalow is equipped with its own air conditioning.
Can I set up a tent next to the Bungalow ?
No. The bungalows are located in exclusive areas of the campsite with shared gardens. So, in order not to disturb the neighbours, no tents are allowed in these areas.
Can I book a specific bungalow number ?
No. Contrary to the pitches, the number of the bungalow assigned in the pre-reservation is not shown and therefore it will not be possible to check its exact location on the camping map before confirming the reservation. We accept requests, but in no way can we guarantee a bungalow.
Is there any cradle or highchair in the bungalows ?
No, but they can be rented the laundry.
Is there any Barbecue with the bungalows?
No. They are equipped with a microwave and coffee maker and have a fully equipped kitchen. The stoves in the BUNGALOWS TWIN are of gas and in the BUNGALOWS PONENT (CENTRO) of vitro-ceramics. There is no oven.
What happens if I have to cancel my booking ?
The cancellation conditions vary according to the booked accommodation, the reservation dates, the cancellation date and the number of previous visits of the client:
- Bungalow bookings: You will be required to do a down payment of 30% of the total amount. Although we always charge a minimum of two nights (which means that for stays of less than 6 nights the asked amount is less than 30% and in the case of a reservation of two nights is 100%). If you cannot make use of your reservation and cancel it per e-mail at least 4 weeks before the planned arrival date, the down payment will be refunded, deducting the listed price of the first overnight (minimum 100€) as a cancellation fee. If cancellation is done on shorter notice no money will be refunded
- Pitch bookings for clients who have visited us at least 3 of the last 5 seasons: A these clients are considered “loyal” and we do not charge any downpayment to confirm the reservation for a pitch. Therefore the cancellation is always free. However, cancelling less than two weeks in advance, this privilege can be forfeited.
- Pitch bookings in low season: 50,00€ will be required for a down payment in order to confirm the booking. If the booking is cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to arrival 25€ will be deducted before refunding the down payment. If the cancellation is later, no money will be refunded.
- Pitch bookings in high season: 325,00€ will be required for a down payment in order to confirm the booking. 300€ will be booked as a down payment and 25€ is charged as a booking fee and will not be deducted from the outstanding balance..
- 25€ in case of a cancellation until the first of march
- 75€ in case of a cancellation until 2 weeks prior to arrival.
- In case of a later cancellation no money is refunded.
If the outstanding balance has already been transferred, this amount is not affected and is fully reimbursed.
