2020: A year we will not soon forget

The new year has begun which more than ever is good news. Because 2020 has been a year to not soon forget and many of us are eager to turn the page. Fortunately we could finish the year with some good news. We were nominated for the campsite of the year award in the Netherlands and in Germany we made it to the top of the list of Spain’s most popular campsites. We want to thank everybody who has supported us in a year that wasn’t easy for anyone.

Las Dunas nominated for campsite of the year

We are honoured and proud to have been nominated for the election of campsite of the year 2021 by the Dutch ANWB. More than 25000 campers have cast their votes during recent months and have selected Las Dunas in the category of “Family Campsites” According to the ANWB they are…

“Campsites where your children can spend the day playing with their friends in the water. The smile on their face cannot be put into words. These campsites give you that authentic family holiday feeling”.

We could not have said it any better.

Las Dunas most popular Spanish campsite in Germany

One of the most visited campsite portals in Europe, the German PiNCAMP by ADAC, has elaborated a list of the 75 most popular campsites in Spain. And Las Dunas made it to number 1! PiNCAMP says…

“There are many reasons why Spain is one of the most popular camping destinations in Europe. Sun, beach and quality campsites make this southern European country an absolute favourite among campers”.

We thank PiNCAMP and the ADAC for this fantastic recognition.

Historic snowfall in Spain

2021 has begun with an historic snowfall that has colored most of the country white. The snow has not caused any problems on Las Dunas and in the Bay of Roses. But the snow covered mountains that surround us allow for some unusual images of the campsite.

A new year and new perspectives

We start the year with moderate optimism. Although the coronavirus is currently affecting us strongly, the perspectives are positive. The virus does not seem to be fond of camping life with lots of sunshine in the open air. Moreover, the vaccination seems to mark the beginning of the end of this pandemic.

We will work hard to once again offer a safe place to spend your well deserved summer holidays. We hope to spend them with you.
